November 26, 2024 - Numbers and Dates in Japanese

 My favorite numbered and named days is November 11th. It is called in Japan "Pocky Day"(ポッキーの日).　

Pocky is a famous Japanese stick snack. And on this day, the number 1 is lined up. It is called "Pocky Day" because the four 1s lined up look like a Pocky! I think that is an interesting idea. I always buy Pocky on this day!

According to my research, this day was recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association in 1999. The recognition rate in Japan on that day is over 90%! I want people overseas to know about Pocky Day. Also I want them to try Pocky because it tastes so good!
